Merry Mondays {Linky party} – Kids talk

Some days I get quite surprised by the things that Sophie learns in school. I knew that she already knows the color red in Mandarin so I went on to test her.

Me: Sophie what’s blue in Chinese?

Sophie: 蓝色.

Me: Good. How about green?

Sophie:绿色.

Me: Good job. What about pink?

Sophie: Pink 色!

Me: >.<

Oh and have I mentioned that we just joined a new church not too long? Sophie has been adapting well and now enjoys sunday school and comes back telling us the things that she’s learnt.

You know how in Sunday School they sing this little song before they eat?

Sophie’s version goes like this.

Thank God for the world so big.

Thank you for the bird we eat.

Thank you God for everything, Amen!

Erm, I’m not sure how the singing birds feel knowing that they are lunch for Sophie.

I’m sure that your kids say some of the funniest things too. So do link up with your posts as we chase those Monday blues away !

LOL…this is totally cute. Gotta capture all these cuteness and silliness before we all forget. Allysa amuses us with her blabbering and of course, occasionally she does hit the nail. We are just totally swooned by her development in the communication area so enjoying all these kids talk for now. =p

Yeah it’s so easy to forget all these cute moments. Which of course explains why we blog to keep those precious memories alive 🙂

Bird? Maybe she’s talking about KFC 🙂 Glad to hear she’s enjoying Sunday School!

Oh yeah that explains why she loves her chicken rice, especially after Sunday school 🙂

Cute! The things Sophia say are cute only because she is still learning how to speak, not really because of the contents, like she says “fffff” when she wants fish.

Before you know it, she’ll be sprouting things that you’ll be surprised to hear 🙂

I like how the kids would answer you with full confidence thinking they got the right (and best) answer… when it’s really not. 😛 Just like my girl said “ONLY ONE!” when we asked her if she could receive sweets from strangers. 🙂

Haha that was really funny. I posted Sophie the same question you asked Yahn, good things she said cannot take.

LOL, too funny! Maybe she means chicken…or maybe duck? 😛

Yeah we gotta write down all these cute conversations because they would be so sweet (and funny) to look back upon! =) I can’t wait to see how Sophie and Angel will communicate with each other when we finally get the chance to meet up. Bet we would get some laughing fits. =)

Aw, my son doesn’t speak yet but we had a fun conversation about no more ice cream (I linked up)

Love your little one’s version of the prayer….adorable 🙂 & accurate too….cos chicken is a bird and it is awesome that the world is big and undiscovered.
