As a marketer, I love the idea of infographics.

So for today’s Wordless Wednesday, here are some facts on how sitting is slowly killing you. Perhaps you may like to try standing up while reading this post.

    Wow. I never knew that sitting more that 3 hours a day could increase the chance of our death. How sad this is. It only shows, that we should not be lazy. But become more active that ever.

    Unfortunately it’s true that sitting kills. The bad thing is that we not only sit at work, but when we come back home as well. To make matters worse, sitting is an independent risk factor, i.e., exercising regularly does not protect you from the bad effects of sitting.

    A few tips to counter “too much sitting” are:
    – take frequent breaks (walk to the bathroom, kitchen, talk with co-workers)
    – sit on a stability ball (this way your core muscles are engaged at all times)
    – replace driving for one weekly errand with walking/biking.
