The latest hairstyle for this season

Remember how keen Sophie was to let me tie up her hair or put on her hairclips about two months now? Its a completely different story now where she’ll wriggle away leaving me with just the rubber band in my hand while she takes off to safer grounds.

And with the recent hot weather, she’s been perspiring alot more leaving her with a less than desirable scent… a far cry from my ????.

Last night, a strike of genius hit me when I was washing her hair. I rushed to grab a comb and a pair of scissors and …

* snip snip*

It took me 2 attempts to cut her hair in a reasonably straight line. I doubt she has much to complain about since this looks way better than ….

this…

This was taken just one week after her first birthday

I know, I know…There are plenty of kiddy salons that does a way better job. But I’m not convinced  that it’s worth $20 after all, all they do is plonk the kid in front of a TV screening Barney, Bob the Builder and entice them with glittery stickers. And hey with more practice, I think I’m going to get better and better.

So anyone wants to offer their kid for me to practice?

    Cherrie: think it’s easier to cut hair for girls. How to cut your boys hair?
    Felicia: haha its not only an “in” hairstyle but a unisex hairstyle that is not confined to gender too! How cool, heh

    June: Yeah it’s like a universal look for the girls in school too. With the exception of some who has hair long enough to be tied in a pony tail.

      Haha I felt bad about giving her such a “koo koo” looking cut. Thank God she’s too young to remember. I better destroy all photos as evidence’

    Wow you are brave! 🙂 Well done mummy!

    If you ever want to take her to a hair salon, I go to those $10 ones! Some screen cartoons too.

      The $10 one sounds more reasonable. Heh maybe the next time when a haircut is needed.

  10. […] guess with the only exception of breastfeeding her, trimming her nails and cutting her hair (you know how that one went), he pretty much did everything that this mom has […]
