Sentosa’s Storytelling Comes Alive is back this June holidays. And this time, you’ll be in for a treat with the Playmobil exhibition at the Imbiah Lookout.
Once you reach the Imbiah Lookout, you definitely can’t miss these life size Playmobil figurines. With every turn, you’ll be greeted with a Playmobil dressed in a different outfit perfect for photo opportunities!
There is a life sized Playmobil Western House imported all the way from Germany where you can be one of the first in Asia to see it. You can also find yet to be launched play sets for sale. Be careful when you exit as you don’t want to be caught in the stand off between the red Indian chief and the American cowboy!
Playmobil Cafe
If you’re hungry for a bite, then drop by the Playmobil cafe where they serve bites from pizzas to pasta or a drink for a much need reprieve from the heat.
And while you’re there, why not let the kids take part in a pizza making session? Sophie had a go at it and my little chief was mighty pleased with her pizza. She spread the paste, scooped the pineapples and ham and topped it off with lots and lots of cheese.
Her pizza was wolfed down in record time, going to show how proud she was of her pizza. The pizza making session costs $10 and kids will receive an exclusive Playmobil figurine after the pizza making session or with every kids meal purchased.
Playmobil Playpit and Toy Shop
We were told there was a Playmobil Playpit behind the toy shop and so we went to check it out.
Sophie was stuck here for quite a while but I didn’t mind it one bit as it brought back such good childhood memories for me as I used to play with them with my cousins back when I was a kid.
At the Playmobil toy shop, you can pick up great buys of latest Playmobil series yet to be launched in Singapore. Some of these are Playmobil Premium Figurine sets sold only at Sentosa! A not to be missed for all Playmobil fans!
Little Hands and Minds
For kids who likes art and craft, they can also make interesting crafts at the Little Hands and Mind corner.
At $10, kids can create personalised aprons or a story book with ready made materials from felt, glitter markers, stickers, etc. All that’s needed is their creativity.

Storytelling Comes Alive
Ever since we’ve caught one session of the storytelling comes alive, we were hooked and have been back for more each June holidays. We’ve attended the storytelling sessions for the past two years and they never disappoint.
You can expect lots of interactivity, puppetry, role playing where audience from adults to kids are roped in to participate and read along. One unique feature of the story telling session is that they have larger than life sets so its always a hit with the kids.
This year, there are three stories that your kids can look forward to, Andy and the Magic Compass, The Dragon Prince and an all time favorite Hansel and Gretel with a local twist!
And don’t forget to get a photo taken at the end of each storytelling session too!
Story telling timings:
