Spell Bound by A Night of Magic at Raffles (Review and Giveaway)

Magic shows, you may watched them on the big screen and even on the television. But watching it live and up close is quite an experience all together especially when the illusions are performed right under your nose where you are left spell bound by the magician.

Following the spectacular success of INCANTO in 2013, renowned magic master Joe Labero returns to Singapore with a brand new fiery show,  A Night of Magic at Raffles at the grand Jubuilee Hall. While this show may not have elaborate props and flashy lights on stage, what you can expect is mind-blowing illusions that will leave you fascinated and wondering how Joe Labero managed to pull it off, so quickly and so effortlessly.

Unlike some other magicians who have a serious and aloof persona to portray a dark and mysterious personality,  Joe had an eccentric yet charismatic personality where he engages the crowd and even teased a couple of people in the audience whom he picked to assist in his show.

While I may have seen through one or two of his tricks, I can say that the rest of the audience and I were all dazzled by Joe Labero’s mesmerising magic acts including his grand finale where he vanished right before our eyes.

Sophie who was watching a magic show for the first time,  couldn’t contain her excitement and amazement that she must have exclaimed wow a hundred times. The only time she couldn’t bear to watch was when they were sawing a man in half and she threw her jacket above her head before I could warn her.

A Night of Magic at Raffles is one mind-blowing performance not to be missed. The show runs till 22 February 2015 at the grand Jubilee Hall theatre in Raffles Hotel. Do note that children under five years old are not permitted for the show.
