Part 2 of my Father’s Day count down is already overdue as it’s already a day late. But hey better late than never, so here goes…
The Involved Father
Right from the start, I had confidence that Alexis was going to be an involved Dad. He accompanied to all my pre-natal classes, didn’t mind getting his hands soiled with Sophie’s poo poo, burped her, swaddled her (He’s an ace at this one), bathed her, got up in the night to feed her, sang to her, read story books to her…
I guess with the only exception of breastfeeding her, trimming her nails and cutting her hair (you know how that one went), he pretty much did everything that this mom has done.
Though he’s no fan of Sesame Street and even Barney the purple Dinosaurs, he’s very obliging brought her to catch her favorite cartoon characters and even ensured that she has a good view.
I especially love it when he carries her on his shoulder…
And I think I’ll end this post with a final note that Alexis is not the best Daddy in the world but he’s trying to be the best Daddy to Sophie everyday when he tell her I love you and prays over her.
