Foodie alert!
Last Sunday, I was at Creative Culinaire where I was introduced to a brand new website that all food lovers should start bookmarking.
Presenting
Rolleyes, a website that reviews food establishments on video.
Just think about how a picture speaks a thousand words. Now imagine how much more a video that is made up of multiple rolling images will convey? And that’s the inspiration behind the name, Rolleyes.
This website allows you explore restaurants, cafe, chill out places and gives you a feel of the vibe and ambience that you can expect even before stepping in, Not only that, you’ll also get to learn some pretty neat trade secrets from their Chef Tips.
There’ll also be cooking tips and recipes that will come in handy for those of you who are always thinking what’s for dinner tonight. Something that I’ll definitely be looking forward to.
After the presentation, we were in for a treat as we had a hands-on baking session with Chef Judy, who’s the Managing Director and Principal Chef at Creative Culinaire. Okay, make that a Guinness Record book holder for the world’s tallest chocolate sculpture!
And the recipe that she was going to teach us, is no ordinary cake but a zucchini chocolate cake! Intrigued? Then read on …
After putting on our aprons, we were all ready to start.
With fellow SMB mummies, Sandra, Madeline and Delphine who were a bunch of baking enthusiasts.
Not forgetting Rachel and her family
We had a fun time learning how to bake this cake and marveled at how brilliant this recipe is, sneaking veggies into a cake!
Plus zucchinni cuts down the calories in your regular chocolate cakes and gives you a boost of vitamins. That’s surely more friendly to the waist line too.
The shredded green stuff you see is Zucchinni which is being stirred together with chocolate chops, walnuts, flour and butter.
After more mixing, shifting, and stirring, piping and popping out cake into the oven… Volia, our zucchini chocolate cake!
And here’s the final product!
You must be curious if it passed the taste test. No one even suspected that there was zucchinni in it 🙂 So this is surely a must try for moms who struggle to get your vege hating kids to eat their greens.
A big thanks to Rolleyes who made this baking session with Chef Judy from Creative Culinaire possible!

I always wanted to learn baking from chef Judy 🙂 I’m told she’s a brilliant chef and instructor. Does Sophie like the cakes?
Looks like everyone had fun, Susan. And I never thought that zucchini could be a butter substitute! What a fabulously sneaky idea! 😀
Yes, it’s such a brilliant idea isn’t it?
