Hello Kitty cafes in Seoul plus a Giveaway {Closed}

It’s been 2 and a half months from my last holiday in Seoul, South Korea and I’m already dreaming of where to go next for our holidays this year.

One of the places that was on my “Places to visit in Seoul” list was the Hello Kitty cafe. If you don’t already know, I love Hello Kitty 🙂 Lucky for me, there was not just one, but two Hello Kitty cafes in Seoul that were not too far for each other. One was in Sinchon and the other in Hong Dae.

1. Hello Kitty Cafe, Sinchon. 

How to get there: Take the exit 3 of Sinchon station, then walk straight for a block and turn right at Nature Republic. Walk another 2 blocks until you get to Naughty Cat (an Accessories shop) and turn right.

You’ll be greeted with the Hello Kitty cafe on your right.

The interior of the cafe was decorated in all things pink and of course with Hello Kitty designs everywhere I turn. Thank God, Alexis has been “trained” by me and has a high tolerance for all this cuteness overload so he didn’t pick up his heels and run.

We had a strawberry cake and caramel mocha which sadly didn’t come with the Hello Kitty coffee art.  The cake was surprisingly soft and moist and really sweetened my afternoon as I sat and admired the interior of the cafe and happily went trigger happy.

Alexis knew that I was looking forward to visit the other Hello Kitty cafe outlet and agreed to bring me there. How can I not love this hubby of mine? He knows me so well!

2. Hello Kitty Cafe, Hong Dae 

How to get therre: Take the Exit 5 of Hongdae station and walk straight. When you come to the junction, turn left and walk up the street. At the second junction, make a right turn and keep walking, while keeping a look out on your left.  Eventually, you’ll see the cafe in one of the lanes. It’s really hard to miss.

This was a bigger branch and had a larger seating capacity. The deco is slightly different, more luxe looking than the first outlet but there was no lack of Hello Kitty appearances.

Even though we were not that hungry, I made Alexis order a tiramisu as well as a latte to share with me just so that I could admire the art on them. I know sounds so bimbo right? 😛

So there you go, my love of Hello Kitty that saw me staying in a Hello Kitty themed hotel room and also my visit to the Hello Kitty cafes in Seoul.
