Happy Father’s Day

This picture was taken at East Coast Park  in May.

Sophie has always been fearful of sand. That afternoon, I decided that I needed to take a breather and asked Alexis to take Sophie to play at the beach with her new set of beach toys

I sat by the side and watched how hesistant Sophie was at first when we arrived at the beach. After hearing Daddy’s encouragement, she inched close to the beach and gamely walked on the sand.

She stuck out her hand and gently requested, “Daddy, hold my hand.”

He smiled and held her hand, reassuring her of his presence and they walked hand in hand on the beach. That day, her fear of the sand became a thing of the past as they built sandcastles and even dipped their feet into the waves.

Sophie, you are indeed so blessed to have a Daddy that dotes on you. But more importantly, a 豆豆 who understands the importance of spending quality time with you. I know that he will be a Dad who will always walk with you and walk alongside you.

Happy Father’s Day, Alexis!
