Motivational Mondays – 30 days challenge

I’ve recently issued myself a challenge for my fitness goal. Last year, I was training for my vertical marathon race organised by the Swissotel and climbed stairs as part of my fitness routine. However because of my insanity workouts, which is a high impact workout, my knees suffered and I dropped out of the race at the eleventh hour.

This year, I’ve decided to sign up for the vertical marathon again and hope to conquer it. So the challenge for myself – 30 storeys in 30 days, where I will climb a total of 900 storeys.

So far, I’m only at day two and hope to complete it in 2 months.

Alexis has been very supportive and suggested we do the couple challenge together. Sophie on the other hand tickled me with her comments the other day.

Me: Sophie, mummy is going to climb the  stairs to 30 storeys to exercise. It’s too difficult and you can’t go with me.
Sophie : Mummy, why you climb the stairs. You know you can take the lift? It’s the same thing you know?

I laughed so hard at her brilliance and wondered if I can convert this little princess of mine to be more health conscious.
