Mark your calendar for KidsFest 2014

KidsFest is back! Having enjoyed tremendous success in Singapore since its debut in 2012, this popular festival returns from 15 January to 9 February 2014 with 9 international theatre productions adapted from best-selling children’s books.

KidsFest 2014 also see the introduction of KidsFest Plus (KidsFest+) – an exclusive backstage experience on scheduled dates for selected productions where fans can interact up close with the cast over an autograph or photo session. We had the opportunity to be invited for a sneak peek and got the low down on some of the not to be missed shows.

The first is the well-loved Gruffalo. Kids will enjoy Mouse’s adventure as he journey into the ‘deep dark wood’ and his encounter with the terrifying Gruffalo. Though the use of sheer wit, learn how the quick-thinking Mouse evades danger and convinces the Gruffalo that everyone is afraid of him in the jungle.

If your child has already watched Gruffalo,  then they may be keen to catch its sequel, The Gruffalo’s Child. Find out just how brave the Gruffalo’s Child is as she ventures into the ‘deep dark wood’ to find the ‘big bad mouse’, the one thing her father, The Gruffalo is afraid of.

In fact, Sophie got to meet the Gruffalo’s Child and she was charmed by her singing along its her buddy, stickman.

Besides these two popular shows, here are the other shows to look out for.
