Kids talk

These days, I’m getting more and more amused by the things that Sophie says. I’m reminding myself to record down these priceless memories and hope to share them with her when she’s older.

In a way, this is also a reminder to myself that while she has her bad days (read: tantrum throwing and whining days), she’s still a funny little darling who brings us much joy and laughter to our lives.

Me: Sophie, Minnie begins with the letter?

(Pointing to the letter “M”)

Sophie: McDonalds!

(She’s daddy’s girl alright, who’s a huge fastfood fan!)

Me: How do you spell dog?

And she breaks into the song, B.I.N.G.O.

_____________________________________________________________

Me: Sophie, stop dragging your chair, otherwise the neighbours downstairs will come up and beat your backside?

Sophie: (covers her backsides and stands against her bookshelf) I hide my backside, they cannot beat my backside.

Sophie: A,B,C,D,E .. E for Yi yi? (Much to the delight of my sister, whom she addresses as Yi  Yi)

________________________________________________________________

While she waits for Daddy to open the gate to the house, she goes: ” Open Sesame Street!”

I hope these toddler conversations brought a smile to your face like it did to mine. Do share this post if it brought cheer to your Monday. I’ll like to hear some of the funny things you’ve heard from your kids too!

Yes their conversations are so innocent and childlike. I really love their view of the world and the innocence of their words.
