30 Day Mom Challenge

I hate to admit this, but of late I’ve been less patient. Less patient with Sophie and even myself. And I think it has also got to do with where I am in life now. I’m feeling like life is moving ahead faster than me and I’m in some catch up game where I’m just reacting to things around me. I would love to slow down, take deep breaths and smell the roses. But more often than not, I’m finding myself to be in a breathless situation.

So when I saw this Mom Challenge on Life in Pleasantville, I signed up for it. Funny you may ask, didn’t I just say that things are moving a little too fast and here I am committing to a challenge.

If you read the challenges, they are more of reminders to slow down especially around Sophie and remembering that she will not remain young forever. Which is my reminder that her terrible twos will not last forever.

Sure I may already be doing some of them, take number 3 or 4 but it’s also big steps for things like number 27 and even 20 and yes I need to hear number 21 too.

If you would like to embark on this challenge, do let me know and lets remind ourselves that being moms is the best “job” in the world where the rewards goes beyond monetary value or recognition, because only receiving the love and affection of our kids that we raise up matters the most.

Just what I need, heaps of patience and wisdom! Just this morning as I was making a wild dash for the door, Vera ran after me and said ‘bye, mamee, I want a hug.’ I was like *Sniff*. Thanks for sharing this challenge, Susan! It’s a great reminder for me… 🙂

Don’t we all need reminders from time to time to slow down and remember the things that matters the most? I know I need that from time to time and glad you find the challenge helpful.

      Hi Sarah,
Hey sure! The challenge is so not for moms who can do it all. But to remind ourselves that we have our hits and misses and we’re doing the best we can for the ones that matters the most to us, our kids. Let me know how you’re encouraged by these challenges, will you?
