Motivational Mondays- Breaking through an exercise rut

We’re into the fifth week of January. How’s everyone doing in their fitness goals? Somehow my engine is still not warmed up and I’m not meeting my goal of exercising 3 times a week. Actually, make that only about once or twice a week. #diefatme. And with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration, it looks like any diet plans are going straight down the drain.

Actually even before the Chinese New Year has started, I’ve already been invited for two lunches with my work partners and boy was I well fed *burp* Yes, there should be no excuses and I can always go for a short 15 minutes run or climb the stairs, which usually takes no more than 7 minutes. But now with my stamina reset to zero, I don’t know how I can make it.

So come every Monday, this about sums up how I feel. Sounds familiar?

But I know I have to get moving because I’ve signed up for the HPB’s one million KG challenge with my company to lose the weight and achieve a healthy BMI. Don’t even ask how much weight I have to lose, because if I told you, I’ll have to kill you.

Now I feel guilty if after writing all these, I still don’t exercise this week. So let’s work our bodies harder this week, so that we don’t feel all that guilty sinking our teeth into those juicy pineapple tarts or bah kwa.

My attempt to make up for my lack of exercise with a healthy home cooked meal with lots of greens

The comic strip is hilarious! One of my resolution for 2014 is to lose weight but somehow after the second week of Jan, I’ve been procrastinating…blame it on the nice chilly weather! Haha!

Now that my children are slightly older, I hope to jog more frequent and be live a healthier and more active lifestyle. Gotta check out the HPB’s one million KG challenge soon.
