Look Up and Be Connected

I wasn’t intending to blog today but this video, Look Up, really struck a chord in me after I blogged about disconnecting to connectย a few weeks ago.

I saw this video pop up on a friend’s feed and in her comment, she said that she’ll probably be away from Facebook and Instagram for a while.

I was intrigued.

What was the content of the video?

And as I watched, I couldn’t help but nod in agreement.

Snippets that spoke to me

The time you don’t have to tell hundred what you have done because you want to share this moment with just only one.

Are you giving life attention by not looking down at your phone.
Give people your love, don’t give them your like.

Smart phones have revolutionised our lives. The way we share our lives, the way we interact is all just a click or rather tap away on our mobiles. Yet now that everything is so instant, we ave little patience for delays. And while all these social media is making us seem connected, I wonder why it is that it is sometimes further than the truth.

Perhaps it’s time you put aside your mobiles and make it a point to be present. After all, our kids are watching us each time we’re on our mobile and just think is that what you want to be greeted by when they are teenagers and are lost in their mobile devices too? I know I don’t want to live with regrets at the end of the day.

So look up from your phone, shut down the display. Take in your surroundings, make the most of today.Just one real connection is all it can take, to show you the difference of being there can make.

Create meaning connections today ๐Ÿ™‚

This is a more hilarious take.. and mine how sad to have everyone’s camera pointed at you while they sing happy birthday. Now I kinda know how Sophie feels.
